BENADOR: A HERO IN THE ROUGH, PRESIDENT PUTIN

“In a democracy people get the government they deserve...”

Obama and his Administration, in flagrant violation of human rights, had threatened many countries not to grant asylum to Edward Snowden, the American whistleblower. Last week, the situation unraveled.

True, relations between America and Russia have been contentious along the years, well before Putin and, even more, before Snowden.  In the end, Russia announced they were granting asylum, giving Snowden’s fate a respite.  Ironically, the lesson has come from the country that escaped and survived the horrors and crimes of Communism -Mr. Obama’s dream for America.

While the globalist liberal media is siding with the American dictatorship, Russia’s Pravda explains their country’s position in a balanced and informative article with the suggestive title: Where there is no logic, power will do.

Imperial Russia signed a convention with the United States back in 1887.  According to the head of the Russian International Legal Cooperation Prosecutor, General Saak Karapetyan, that convention has never been cancelled, though the document particularly stipulates extradition of “anyone involved in assassination attempts against the Tsar or his family.”  Furthermore, according to a United Nations report of 1970 on International Treaties, Washington unilaterally terminated the agreement on extradition in 1941, without notifying Russia.

In a view from another one of the greatest contemporary powers,  China’s Xinhua News Agency wrote a few days ago: "So far, the US has exhausted its tricks, but there is still no outcome on the extradition of Mr. Snowden. It can be described as suffering constant embarrassment in this drama. In contrast, Russia has handled things with ease.”

Former KGB Lieutenant Colonel, President Putin, has an unapologetic nationalistic stand that reflects in his policies and in the measures he unhesitatingly takes.

Who is Putin?

Emotions run amok at the sheer sound of his name.  So called liberal, pro-democracy spirits have an almost violent reaction, neglecting the fact that Putin has to his credit popular victorious elections which gave him the Presidency of Russia not once, but twice.

Unlike the current community-organizer American president, raised by his liberal, progressive, anti-American Muslim father and communist mother, Putin was born to typical Russian parents in the Soviet Union era.

President Putin's records are tranparent, from birth to schooling, as well as his law studies at the Leningrad State University, where he earned his degree in 1975, and his studies are recorded at the KGB institution. Obama's documents are either non-existent, fake or sealed.  Besides, he has been a student and follower of rabid communist and virulent anti-American, Saul Alinsky.

Leadership is becoming a rare commodity in the world nowadays, as America, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, and others, are ruled by accommodating, suicidal,  globalist leaders with a definite anti-patriotic agenda, wherever they may be.

IRAN

Russia under Putin, has helped Iran with uranium, oil and weapons. They have even built Iran’s nuclear reactor, Bushehr.  And, Russia has also vetoed U.N. sanctions against Iran.

That said, and despite those who may disagree, Iran's nuclear program is officially for “civilian use like medical isotopes in nuclear medicine.” Besides, under the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons, known as the Non-Proliferation Treaty or NPT, of which Iran is a signatory, it has the  right to peaceful nuclear programs.  In fact, it is the international community that goes along facilitating Iran’s position. Right or wrong, this is what the President stands for, in the case of Iran.

For Obama, Iran is a Muslim country, for him already a plus and close to his heart.  Threats and sanctions are good but inefficient.  It is improbable that the Obama Administration would attack any Muslim country, regardless of any other consideration. If anything, Obama has a strong track record supporting Muslim terrorists as much as he can.

NORTH KOREA

The current occupant of the White House, and first undeclared Muslim president of America has a glorious career befriending, defending and abetting Muslim terrorists, whose ways he legitimizes with his imprimatur.  The liberal UK-leadership has also shown the will to arm the terrorists trying to depose the Syrian President.

Mr. Putin opposes arming terrorists to go against Syria’s legitimate President Assad, but later in the conflict,Lebanon's Hezbollah shi’a terrorists have joined the war supporting Assad’s side and are now armed by Russia and Iran.

However, the President also made his case in front of a panel with German Chancellor Angela Merkel:  "If the United States ... recognizes one of the key Syrian opposition organizations, al-Nusra, as terrorist ... how can one deliver arms to those opposition members?” Then he asked:  "Where will they end up? What role will they play?"

MILITARY

Anti-American Obama has had a field day executing to the letter his wishes to destroy America from the inside. His actions could not be clearer, his goal is to weaken the country he was entrusted to defend.

It is no surprise that he is behind the emasculation of the American military, one of the pillars of national defense.  Obama has succeeded abrogating the policy “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” or DADT, a measure intended to  protect the military from being distracted by declared homosexuals within their midst.

Same sex marriages have already been performed in American military bases and, adding injury to insult, the first gay wedding took place in the prestigious historical Chapel of the military Academy West Point in May 2012.

On this, difference between Putin and Obama could not be more abysmal. It would be simply unthinkable that such a development could result in the Russian army under President Putin who, days earlier, was watching maneuvers across Siberia and the far eastern region in a massive show involving 160,000 troops and about 5,000 tanks performing the largest exercise in the post-Soviet era, displaying the  resurgent Russian military might.

In May 2011, it was the President of the United States, Barack Obama himself, who in the aftermath of the Osama Bin Laden capture and killing, in ostensible betrayal, disclosed to the world the existence of the ultra secret Navy Seal Team Six. one of America’s most elite counter-terrorism groups that ever existed. Until then, they had worked undisturbed by any notoriety, to secure their protection.

Two months later, 23 members of Seal Team Six went to their death, ambushed by Taliban terrorists who, “somehow”, knew all secret travel information of the team.

Later on, Obama had no qualms sending American troops to fight alongside Al Qaeda terrorists in Libya.

In America, a Muslim major, the terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan who murdered 13 of his military colleagues at his base, has now received a platform to continue his diatribe, as he can defend himself while keeping his grade and his salary, now over $300,000.00 last year.  Meanwhile, his victims survivors cannot receive any emoluments given that the Obama government has decided they were not victims of a terrorist attack, officially calling it instead “work violence.”

Would all of the above occur under Russia’s Putin?  No.

ECONOMY

Obama stated from the very beginning that he was going to do what it takes to change the fabric of American society. With this man, the country is running into an economic abyss as the US National Debt Clock is unstoppably rushing to hit the 17 TRILLION Dollars debt.  Under Obama alone, the debt has increased more than it did during all presidents put together.  He is the biggest government spender in History.

Putin had a first term as President of Russia from 2000-2008.  He was reelected in 2012 for another eight years.  That alone is a sign that even if his economic policies had some flaws, the population had no major problem with his way to handle the economy.

In his first term, Russia’s GDP rose to about  about 70%, industrial growth reached 75% and investments increased by 125%.  With all those achievements, Russia took once again its place among the world's top ten economies.  Another indicator of his first term success, was that real incomes more than doubled and poverty rate went down by half.  In the oil and energy sector, the government took over a controlling stake in energy giant Gazprom that became public, thus liberalizing its share market.

On the other hand, Rosneft, the largest state-controlled oil company in Russia, went public in 2006, becoming a magnet to pull a great number of Russian and foreign investors. With government taking control of a substantial part of the oil and gas sector and its revenues, Russia became once again a member of the world energy superpowers.

But Putin’s first term also had high inflation and despite the growth shown in the above mentioned sectors, the economy remained commodity-based given that raw materials and fertilizers incontestably represented a large majority of Russian exports.   Machinery and equipment exports amounted only to $17 billion of the total $352 billion export revenues. On the other hand, food import, amounted to a total of 42%.  In the rich-poor equation, statistics of neither wage nor pension growth reflected the broadening gap, but the standard of life did, with the 10% of the rich markedly living better than 10% of the poor.

The second term began barely a year ago.  Putin has lost no time in the international arena.  He has kept busy striking deals with China, in the military and energy sector; as well as with Japan, also in the energy sector.  Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe also visited Russia bringing a large business delegation. And, the good news is that both, China and Japan want to purchase more Russian energy.

Such a horizon definitely looks better than the one from the United States of America, whose best accomplishment has been so far the achievement of a soon whopping 17 Trillion dollars debt.

Corruption is rampant in Russia, and has always been, as in many countries.  That said, the government is taking it seriously and has an aggressive campaign to track down culprits and bring them to justice, whether they are in politics or in business.

UNEMPLOYMENT

Unemployment rates look considerably less damaging in Russia than they do in the U.S.

Last June, Russia’s economically active population rose to 75.5 million people from 71.7 million in May, representing about 53% of the total population of the country.  The total number of Russia’s employed reached 67.6 million, of which 52% (or 35.2 million) were either part-time or small business employees.  In a quarterly basis, the number of unemployed decreased by 297,000 compared to the previous quarter and is unchanged compared to Q2 of 2012.

Such numbers seem meager when compared to America’s whopping 102 million unemployed plus the 12 million jobless -and their families, which should be added to the equation.

THE GAY ISSUE

Putin does not view homosexuals with a benevolent eye.  A true blessing, by conservative standards, but his critics, liberal, progressive pro-democracy activists, are keen relabeling bad with good and wrong with right, as they try to establish their utopian everything-goes-kind-of-society.  Then, there are the cynics, those who believe Mr. Putin is going after this group only to be able to incarcerate his critics with more ease.

Beyond all the blabber, there is an existential concern behind Putin’s attitude, and he is not alone.  In one of his recent measures, the President signed a 'gay propaganda' ban and law criminalizing insult of religious feelings. The parliament unanimously passed a federal law banning the propaganda of “non-traditional relationships,” i.e., same-sex ones. The sponsor of the bill explains her reasoning.

“Analyzing all the circumstances, and the particularity of territorial Russia and her survival…I came to the conclusion that if today we want to resolve the demographic crisis, we need to, excuse me, tighten the belt on certain moral values and information, so that giving birth and raising children become fully valued,” lawmaker Yelena Mizulina told Vladimir Posner, Russia’s Charlie Rose....

Mizulina heads the Duma’s committee for family, women, and children and has become the face of Russia’s campaign against gays. But rightfully, she does not call it that.  Russia’s new laws – banning same-sex foreign couples from adopting Russian children in addition to banning LGBT advocacy – are part of the country’s very search for survival, according to her.  And, she is right.  Sadly, her take is tragically missing in policies by liberal, progressive, globalists ruling so many countries.

Indeed, last week, Mr. Putin signed a bill that sharply limits the adoption of Russian children by same-sex foreign couples coming from countries who consider their union as marriage, just as it has forbidden adoption by single people or unmarried couples.   The bill signed last Wednesday is one of Russia’s latest efforts to counter the nasty Western trend toward greater acceptance of homosexuality. Last Sunday, Putin also approved a wise ban making it illegal to give children any information about gays.

The approach of contemporary Russia to the critical issue of national demographics, takes the country back to their worthy, traditional roots.  Thanks to Putin, they have understood that the survival and success of their country depends to a large extent, on supporting traditional family values.

This is a far cry from the position of the liberal soul-corrupting American government.  As good liberals, Obama and his team know that the way to destroy the fabric of a nation is to undermine traditional family values, corrupting the mind of children, enticing a utopian search for equality, when in reality there is no equality, and there will never be.  Instead, what is most important is to accept the difference and deal with it, because nirvana does not exist.

THE MUSLIM ISSUE

This may well be Putin’s Achilles tendon, and unless he finds a way to reverse the tide, it could also turn to be Russia’s Trojan horse.

Just as other governments facilitate and enable Muslim immigration throughout the world, surprisingly, it is also happening in Russia.  As much as he is keen in defending his country’s national roots, securing her borders and guaranteeing Russia’s influence abroad, it seems the President has been oblivious to the danger of a silent and slow, but sure, Muslim invasion.

This is the only point of convergence that he shares with Barack Obama, the quintessential enabler of Muslim migration to America as it is their place of choice.  One day, if all goes well for them, America could become their biggest prize -the day when the majority of Americans will belong to the Muslim faith.

In the meantime, no one in the Muslim world has announced they have given up on terrorism and their ambitions for world domination.  But, that should be the key condition to allow Muslims to stay in, or to enter, our world.  One more advice: Beware taqqiya.

OPPOSITION

Putin’s opposition comes in the shape of a fiery young leader, Alexei Navalny, 35-years old, who has entered the political scene roughly since 2007.  Navalny’s political agenda is anti-corruption, anti-immigration and, of course, anti-Putin.

Navalny rightfully worries about Asian, and above all, the heavy loaded Muslim migration into Russia's Slavic heartland.  Sometimes he has felt forced to rebuff suggestions that he is ‘fascist’. In time, Navalny will learn to shrug off insulting adjectives thrown by his opponents with the sole objective of silencing him.

Last week, he was convicted of stealing at least $494,000 from a timber firm when he was adviser to the Kirov regional governor in 2009, but he argues the case was politically motivated and intended to sideline him as a political threat to President Putin.

Navalny is now free on bail while he awaits the outcome of his appeal.

AMERICA’s INABILITY TO INFLUENCE THE WORLD

From its inception, America has been the paradigm of liberalism, with its corrupting seeds of pseudo-humanism and their irrational quest for absolute freedom.

Obama’s ideal was not the American Dream or American Exceptionalism.  He knew they existed, but purposefully, he decided from the onset, to “change” America’s fabric, and change it he did.

When Obama and his entourage warned and threatened Russia and other countries, they forgot that they have turned the firm American land they are standing on, into moving sands.  They wanted to ruin the country, and they have almost succeeded, but the bad news, is that it is not good and not prestigious to be the president of a ruin.

Now the world and countries such as Russia, Switzerland and Latin American countries, are opening their eyes to see the reality.  American Exceptionalism is long lost and gone.  No one needs to be afraid anymore of the moribund giant who can scream, but can do nothing else.

Time reports:  “The only ones who seemed to be celebrating Obama’s snub on Wednesday were some of Putin’s harshest critics. “Putin thrives on these joint appearances to show his cronies that he’s an equal on the global stage despite his lack of credentials, and that he can protect their interests abroad,” says Garry Kasparov, the former world chess champion who helped lead the anti-Putin protests last year. “I’m glad Obama is finally showing some spine with regard to Putin,” he says. “This cancellation is a welcome start.” “
Obama showing spine?  The liberal press, Konovalov and Kasparov, speak as if though Obama was the president of good old, powerful and exceptional America.

They are dead wrong if they want to erase the reality that anti-American Obama rules America.  His are the 17 TRILLION dollars debt, just as his are the 102 million unemployed and the 14 million jobless, and his list of “successes” is endless.

"In a sense, the United States has gone from a 'model of human rights' to 'an eavesdropper on personal privacy', the 'manipulator' of the centralized power over the international Internet, and the mad 'invader' of other countries' networks," the [China] People's Daily said."The world will remember Edward Snowden," the newspaper said. "It was his fearlessness that tore off Washington's sanctimonious mask."

NIET...!

On the contrary, from its origins, Russia has been and remains a conservative country par excellence.  Some pundits have disrespectfully attributed to Russians a ‘serf’ quality, when thanks to their character and their love of the country, they may be among the most patriotic remaining on the planet.

Conservatism appreciates order, in contrast to the chaos typical of liberals.  Therefore, it is no surprise that Russians have appreciated strongmen and a strong woman:  From Ivan the Terrible, to Catherine the Great, passing by Peter the Great and, alas, including Stalin, Russians have been thankful to have them.  That is the mentality that belongs to the Russian people, whether liberals worldwide like it or not.

Russia’s turnaround under Putin is stunning, after having been the paradigm of Communism and its liberal fascist politics.  Strong people despise weaklings and Putin is no exception to that rule.

On the Jay Leno Show, Obama said, "I have no patience for countries that try to treat gays or lesbians or transgender persons in ways that intimidate them or are harmful to them,"

Putin added... that the Church was giving Russians a moral compass when so many were looking for help. “Today when people are once again searching for moral support, millions of our compatriots [find] it in religion,” he said. “They trust the wise, pastoral word of the Russian Orthodox Church.”

America is a moral and economic wreck.  It is clear that no country needs to be afraid of America anymore.  Russia has shown the path.

President Putin is the hero in the rough.
