BENADOR: SHABBAT...!!!!!

B"H

We are finishing a week of mourning.

From Monday night until Wednesday noontime, was Tisha B'Av, a fast day to remember the destruction of the First Temple in Jerusalem by the Babylons in 586 Before the Common Era, and also the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans, the year 70 of the Common Era.

We are to begin Shabbat in a few hours.

This time, Shabbat has a name per se: SHABBAT NAHAMU

"Nahamu" comes from the Haftarah with the same name, and it means  "Comfort ye," which is read on every Shabbat after Tisha B'Av.

May we be comforted.

May we be worthy that the Third Temple be built in our lifetime.

May we only know joys from now on.
